Postivie and Negative Blogs
NEGATIVE BLOG:
Now, you’ve read the headline and seen this picture. After putting two and two together, some of you may have gotten five. This man above is indeed NOT LeBron James. He sure does look like him though, doesn’t he? For comparison, here is the real LeBron James:
Many would be deceived at first glance into thinking they’d just seen King James at the microphone. At this point, I should point out that the man in question was cleared of any wrong-doing and was declared not to be a terrorist, he was merely held on suspicion of being one. In fact, the article from AOL News, tells us that he was tortured in cruel and unnatural ways by the Guantanamo Bay authorities.
As you can tell, it was difficult to find a negative blog about LeBron James. The fact that people take the time to make up stories like this is actually quite humorous. :)

Last month a London court ordered the British government to disclose confidential US intelligence showing that this man (see picture below) was detained and suffered “cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment” whilst in US custody.

Why I Like LeBron James

Why do I like LeBron James?
Where do I begin...
He embodies talent and hard work. After reading into his life, I discovered that he had a challenging childhood. To work as hard as he did to overcome his circumstances is truly inspirational. He often thanks God for where he is today. He knows that his talent was God-given. LeBron is not your typical NBA star. He is not overly cocky and defensive. You do not hear about negatively in the media. At such a young age (26), many people including myself, wonder where LeBron could possibly go frome here. One thing is certain, he will always be a role model and he will always be a outstanding basketball player.
"I think the reason why I'm the person who I am today is because I went through those tough times when I was younger."
"In the next 15 or 20 years, I hope I'll be the richest man in the world. That's one of my goals. I want to be a billionaire. I want to get to a position where generation on generation don't have to worry about nothing. I don't want family members from my kids to my son's kids to never have to worry. And I can't do that now just playing basketball."
"I thank God for the God-given talent He gave me. I worked hard to get to the point where I'm at.""Sometimes the coaches tell me to be selfish, but my game won’t let me be selfish."
"I told myself if I ever made it to the level I want to be at, I'm gonna give back."
"I don’t need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don’t excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life."
"Man, meeting Michael Jordan for me was like.. black Jesus walking towards me. It was overwhelming to me to finally meet the guy I've looked up to my whole life."
"Ask me to play. I'll play. Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot. Ask me to pass. I'll pass. Ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate. Anything. But it's not what you ask of me. It's what I ask of myself."
Meeting Michael Jordan
LeBron says that meeting Michael Jordan was a pivotal moment in his life. He had always looked up to the super star, and to finally meet him was overwhelming.
They met when Michael invited LeBron to an excluse scrimmaging session.
LeBron is also debating to change his jersey number (23) out of respect for Michael.

LeBron's Adversity

LeBron's struggle was his enviroment growing up. While his mother did everything she could to make his childhood enjoyable, she was often in unhealthy relationships. Only being sixteen, she had a difficult time raising LeBron on her own. They often moved homes, and LeBron said the hardest part of this was meeting new people and trying to find new friends. LeBron's basketball coach, Frankie Walker, allowed LeBron to stay with him for a period of time. This allowed LeBron to experience what a normal upbringing would be like. "More Than a Game," a film about LeBron James' life, recently came about. Although LeBron's childhood was very difficult, it motivated him even more to become great. Who knows, maybe without a challenging upbringing LeBron would have never reached the success he experiences today.
"Ask me to play. I'll play. Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot. Ask me to pass. I'll pass. Ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate. Anything. But it's not what you ask of me. It's what I ask of myself."

Success

LeBron began the summer after his sophomore year in Colorado Springs at the USA Basketball Development Festival. As the first underclassman ever invited to the camp, he surprisingly broke the festival scoring record with 120 points in five games and was named MVP.
He became widely known and his future was looking bright. Rumors stated that LeBron would be able to skip college completely and go directly to the National Basketball League. Meanwhile, Michael Jordan invited LeBron to join him in a workout, where he scrimmaged against Antoine Walker, Michael Finley, Juwan Howard and Penny Hardaway.
Next on LeBron's agenda were the 26th annual McDonald's All-American High School Boys Basketball Game at Gund Arena (Home of the Cavilers) and the EA Sports Roundball Classic in Chicago. By playing in more than one all-star game, LeBron sealed his fate and made himself eligible for the NBA draft, which became known as the "LeBron Lottery."
In the NBA draft, his home town Cleveland recievd the top pick and immediately grabbed LeBron. Though his contract with the Cavs was slotted in by the league’s rookie salary structure, he had no worries about money. Estimates put his endorsement deals (with Nike, Coca-Cola and Upper Deck) at $100 million!!

In fact, to this day, LeBron goes by his mothers last name.
