LeBron's Adversity

LeBron's struggle was his enviroment growing up. While his mother did everything she could to make his childhood enjoyable, she was often in unhealthy relationships. Only being sixteen, she had a difficult time raising LeBron on her own. They often moved homes, and LeBron said the hardest part of this was meeting new people and trying to find new friends. LeBron's basketball coach, Frankie Walker, allowed LeBron to stay with him for a period of time. This allowed LeBron to experience what a normal upbringing would be like. "More Than a Game," a film about LeBron James' life, recently came about. Although LeBron's childhood was very difficult, it motivated him even more to become great. Who knows, maybe without a challenging upbringing LeBron would have never reached the success he experiences today.

"Ask me to play. I'll play. Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot. Ask me to pass. I'll pass. Ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate. Anything. But it's not what you ask of me. It's what I ask of myself."
-LeBron James-
