Why I Like LeBron James

Why do I like LeBron James?

Where do I begin...

He embodies talent and hard work. After reading into his life, I discovered that he had a challenging childhood. To work as hard as he did to overcome his circumstances is truly inspirational. He often thanks God for where he is today. He knows that his talent was God-given. LeBron is not your typical NBA star. He is not overly cocky and defensive. You do not hear about negatively in the media. At such a young age (26), many people including myself, wonder where LeBron could possibly go frome here. One thing is certain, he will always be a role model and he will always be a outstanding basketball player.

"I think the reason why I'm the person who I am today is because I went through those tough times when I was younger."

"In the next 15 or 20 years, I hope I'll be the richest man in the world. That's one of my goals. I want to be a billionaire. I want to get to a position where generation on generation don't have to worry about nothing. I don't want family members from my kids to my son's kids to never have to worry. And I can't do that now just playing basketball."
"I thank God for the God-given talent He gave me. I worked hard to get to the point where I'm at."

"Sometimes the coaches tell me to be selfish, but my game won’t let me be selfish."

"I told myself if I ever made it to the level I want to be at, I'm gonna give back."

"I don’t need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don’t excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life."

"Man, meeting Michael Jordan for me was like.. black Jesus walking towards me. It was overwhelming to me to finally meet the guy I've looked up to my whole life."

"Ask me to play. I'll play. Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot. Ask me to pass. I'll pass. Ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate. Anything. But it's not what you ask of me. It's what I ask of myself."
