LeBron James
LeBron was born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio to Gloria James, who was only sixteen at the time, and Anthony McClelland, who was and ex-con and not interested in being a parent.
Lebron is an only child who deeply loves and cares about his mom. He told Jack McCallum of Sports Illustrated: "My mother is my everything. Always has been. Always will be."
In fact, to this day, LeBron goes by his mothers last name.
He was recognized as a basketball prodigy at a very young age. During his junior year in high school he appeared on the cover of ESPN The Magazine and Sports Illustrated under the title: "The Chosen One." Another popular nickname for LeBron was "King James."
